Event types and drafts

Events can now be categorized by type (webinar, workshop, conference) to enable you to differentiate and categorize them on your web site.

This feature is also extremely valuable to developers looking to separate events onto different pages of a web site. Corporate Integrity's Research section is the perfect example of how this new feature has been utilized, as it separates Written Research from Research Presentations.

A draft state is also available to allow the creation of events without the appearance on your web site through the Distant Measures API.

Successful event integration and automated registrations

Yesterday Corporate Integrity successfully ran their first webinar, which they managed through Distant Measures and the Distant Measures API. All of Corporate Integrity's workshops and webinars are managed through Distant Measures and integrated with their website and shopping cart.

The process starts with the creation of an event in Distant Measures:


Since corp-integrity.com is integrated with the Distant Measures API all of their events appear within the corresponding section of their web site.


And allow registration on the event details page.


Each event is also tied to the Corporate Integrity shopping cart to process payments for the event.


And finally, every registrant is notified with a custom confirmation message and added/tracked in Distant Measures under the corresponding event.
