Event types and drafts

Events can now be categorized by type (webinar, workshop, conference) to enable you to differentiate and categorize them on your web site.

This feature is also extremely valuable to developers looking to separate events onto different pages of a web site. Corporate Integrity's Research section is the perfect example of how this new feature has been utilized, as it separates Written Research from Research Presentations.

A draft state is also available to allow the creation of events without the appearance on your web site through the Distant Measures API.

The Distant Measures API is now available to the public. The Distant Measures API offers many powerful methods for retrieving and managing yours or a clients account from a remote web site. A little description of an API and how it fits into Distant Measures accounts
An Application Programming Interface (API) allows for communication between two distinct applications or databases. Users maintaining an internal system for managing subscriptions or content may use the API to programatically transfer data from the internal system to their Distant Measures account. This communication of data is possible through the transmission of XML via SOAP and the https protocols. To access your account simply use the *Distant Measures WSDL as the gateway to access your content.
