A little description of an API and how it fits into Distant Measures accounts
An Application Programming Interface (API) allows for communication between two distinct applications or databases. Users maintaining an internal system for managing subscriptions or content may use the API to programatically transfer data from the internal system to their Distant Measures account. This communication of data is possible through the transmission of XML via SOAP and the https protocols. To access your account simply use the *Distant Measures WSDL as the gateway to access your content.
*An account with developer access is required.

Custom sign up pages
The first release of custom sign up pages were pushed live today on Distant Measures. What this means for Distant Measures customers is optional control over the redirect page a mailing list subscriber sees during the sign up process. There are certainly more features coming to this page, but we always welcome customer feedback, so please let us know your thoughts. If you would like to keep your thoughts private feel free to send us a suggestion through our private suggestion form.
