Lead and Subscriber lists

A new "Lead" list type has been added to Distant Measures. Leads can be used in mass text-based emails, saving you the time and effort of personally sending an email to every lead through standard email programs.

Personalize emails with the following lead details:
First or last name
Company
Email
Occupation
and more...

Track leads by:
Bounces
Opened emails
Clicked links
Clicked link count
and more...

Segment leads by:
First or last name
Company
Email address
Occupation
Tags

Once a lead has become interested in you, you can easily convert them to a subscriber at the click of a button, adding them to any existing subscriber list.

*Leads cannot be used in HTML newsletters, but Subscribers can now be used in both HTML newsletters and text-based emails.

Enhanced campaign statistics

A complete overhaul has been made to Distant Measures campaign statistics, including details for every list used in a newsletter delivery. Details include total subscribers, successful recipients, bounces, times opened, times clicked and date sent for each and every newsletter in a campaign.

Also get combined newsletter/list totals and percentages for every statistic in a campaign.

The campaign statistics page also provides a report printing function to print a beautiful hard copy of your campaign statistics for offline meetings, campaign comparisons, filing, etc. The printed report is a simplified version of what is available online.

And if you want to take it a step further you can find out exactly who received your newsletter, opened it, clicked a link or if they bounced and why they bounced.

Salesforce.com integration

Distant Measures now supports automatic integration of mailing list recipients as salesforce.com leads if you have a Salesforce account. Simply enter your Salesforce account id (or OID) on the company management page and the recipients that sign up to your mailing lists will be automatically added to your Salesforce.com account as a lead.

Are you wondering what leads came from Distant Measures? It's easy, just take a look at the Lead Source and you'll notice the following format: "Distant Measures:Mailing list name"

For example, if you have a list named "Newsletter Subscribers" and a consumer signs up to this list their Lead Source will be "Distant Measures:Newsletter Subscribers"

The first release of custom sign up pages were pushed live today on Distant Measures. What this means for Distant Measures customers is optional control over the redirect page a mailing list subscriber sees during the sign up process. There are certainly more features coming to this page, but we always welcome customer feedback, so please let us know your thoughts. If you would like to keep your thoughts private feel free to send us a suggestion through our private suggestion form.
